Baby Senegal (Poicephalus senegalus) Available! Senegals are wonderful in size, beautiful in color and huge in personality. They can be wonderful companions for families of all ages. They tend to be a bit easier to get along with than some other species. They love to play and can be pretty good talkers if you work with them. They are a good choice for someone new to the bird world. Ideally, the minimum cage size for this bird is 25'' long, 21'' wide, and 29'' high with ½'' wire spacing. At Parrot Stars, we focus on education, nutrition and conservation. We work very hard to educate our customers about parrot companionship. Before we take a bird home, we provide information about proper housing, creating a safe environment, nutrition, behavior, hormones and much more. No question will go unanswered. Each hand-fed baby is weaned on a varied diet. They are weaned on fruits and vegetables, a soak and germinate mix that is made right here in the shop, a very varied seed mix that is also made in the shop, and natural colored pellets.
